In-conversation 2.20-3pm, Sunday 30th:
On Sunday afternoon I'll be in conversation with Calum Neill, professor of psychoanalysis and European philosophy, Edinburgh Napier University. The film will run from 1.30-2.20pm; after the film, Calum and I will explore some themes from the work, informally and open to questions. https://www.napier.ac.uk/people/calum-neill
Carer and child friendly screenings:
Each day begins with a carers and children friendly screening from 11-11.50am.
I'm delighted that this screening runs during the Portia Zvavahera exhibition, with shared themes of collective experience, labouring bodies and biographical motif. My warmest thanks to the Fruitmarket team for all their support. More here: As You Were @ Fruitmarket
As You Were is an experimental documentary made with midwives and obstetricians from the UK's National Health Service who have themselves given birth to query the boundaries of professional, personal and institutional understanding. Scenes of a coxed women’s rowing team and the artist's domestic realm intersect with historical maternity instruments and intimate documentation of insect life.
